Circle for Recovery - Jan. Group Update

As Facebook is hard to message with links in it, I've posted my Group Update here.

Group Update 1-15-11

Circle for Recovery

It’s been quite some time since I’ve put up a group update for the Circle for Recovery so I thought I’d do so now. It’s January 2011, another year started in recovery for me and I’m sure, many others. It’s been a long time since hearing from most of you and I hope everyone is doing well. Some, I’ve heard thru the “grapevine” have gone back out, some coming back and some not. For those that might still be active in their drinking/addictions, just remember that the program is here when you are ready. You and your families are worth getting and staying clean and sober. I am a living example of that. After 35+ years “out there”, I am now working on my 11th year in recovery without a drink or drug. It’s had its ups and downs, but it’s been a grand 10+ years overall.

Living life on life’s terms can be difficult at time, as well I know. I just lost my mother on January 14th, and the family is in mourning. She lived a great 85 years, impacting on many lives and will be remembered by many. God rest her soul. I can be grateful for my sobriety and for being there with a clear mind to help comfort the rest of the family. I have a lot of other issues, mostly family related that I deal with each day, and again, I could only do so in a positive manner, Clean and Sober.

The site at the Circle has been extremely slow, but I’m grateful for the few that still post our daily readings, meditations and discussions. Hopefully, some of you will visit and add some feedback, support or even post issues of our own. You just never know that what you might post, could be beneficial for others recovery.

Here’s our forum Link in case you might have misplaced it: Circle for Recovery

I do a lot of things on Facebook these days, as it seems the times have changed dramatically, and everyone seems to be there. I have a page for the Circle for Recovery: Follow us on Facebook Circle for Recovery

My Milkman Mike profile where I do a lot of posting: Milkman’s Facebook Profile

A New page on Facebook that I just started for those in recovery and also for others as well: Milkman’s Talking Facebook

The home page for Milkman’s Talking is: Milkman’s Talking Home Page

I set this group up for folks that deal with things of negative natures and maybe get some feedback on how to live in the solution instead of the problems. It’s a new site and just getting started. Anyone can join, and there is a forum to post on with numerous boards set up already. Here is the link for that: Milkman’s Talking Forum

So as you can see, I’ve been busy on my PC. It’s part of my recovery life these days and I enjoy it. I’m still new to this without much formal computer education, but it’s the folks that come and share on them that seem to make them successful. Hope you all will come and share with us. We can do together what we cannot do alone.

Enjoy your day

Milkman Mike
